Some stories can only be told without a name attached.
ReadChief was built on one idea: your story is more important than your identity.
Why this exists
The first version began with a simple problem. A burner account could hide a name, but it could not reliably reach the people who understood the context—Lagos people, Nigerians, and Africans living the same realities. ReadChief is a place to say what you think, hear what others know, and let the contribution stand on its own.
You can build a public reputation with a handle or post anonymously when the subject needs distance. ReadChief still keeps the minimum private account and security records required to operate safely; anonymous means hidden from the public, not untraceable to the platform.
Corners give every conversation a home
Corners organise life as people actually discuss it: the city, work, money, relationships, migration, football, technology, confessions and everything still missing. Each Corner has its own rules and moderators inside the site-wide safety rules.
Built for participation, not performance
Votes help useful contributions travel. Comments let people challenge a claim. Context Notes let readers attach evidence. Moderation protects the room without pretending difficult conversations are automatically harmful.
